We stock plywood in 1/4" and 3/4" thickness in oak and birch. Other species
(cherry, hard maple, walnut, mahogany, etc.) are available; please inquire.
We provide the following information to answer questions you may have about ordering from Select Millwork. We want to make sure we provide you with the best service possible. Please let us know if you need additional information.
We stock red oak and tulip poplar surfaced four sides (S4S) in nominal sizes. For example, a 1" x 6" measures 3/4" x 5-1/2".
We sell non-dimension lumber in random lengths and widths.
Please measure your needs in exact lengths and list them without combining lengths. For example:
10 pc. - 2'6" poplar S4S 1 x
6 6 pc. - 5'9" cherry S4S 1 x

3 pc. - 5'9" red oak S4S 1 x 6 2 pc. - 6'0" poplar

We will make every effort to minimize waste when we pull your order from stock.
We ask new customers who wish to open a credit account to complete a credit application form. We must approve this application before we can process your first order. Invoices are due within 30 days, we assess a 1.5% surcharge on the unpaid balance. We place a credit hold and require COD payment on accounts still due after 45 days.
All custom, off-species or non-stock orders require a 50% deposit from cash customers. We require a written purchase order from credit customers for custom orders.
You will receive a written acknowledgement of your order. Please review it carefully. We cannot allow order changes or refunds after three days.
Requests for returns or claims for damage or shipping errors must be made within three days of delivery. Returns must be authorized in advance of the return of materials, and we assess a 25% restocking charge on all stock items. Please note that custom order items and material not in original condition cannot be returned. All returns must be made within 30 days.
We ask that you inspect staircase orders for damage and make sure all parts will conform to the specificatiions for intended use. Claims for damage or incorrect parts must be reported within three days of delivery. Any stain or finished piecies are not returnable, so please check your order carefully when you receive it.
Select Millwork can grind knives to create any pattern or profile. We ask cash customers to pay knife grinding charges before an order is started. Grinding charges usually run $50 per inch.
We must assess set-up charges to offset costs on mill orders. We quote set-up charges per job. Our minimum set-up charge is $30.
Please allow one to two working days for will-call stock orders. Allow one to two weeks of production and packaging time on out-of-stock orders. We ask two to four weeks for custom profile orders, although some custom orders may require additional time.
Custom orders are subject to a maximum overrun of 10% per pattern. Stock orders are subject to a maximum overrun of 5% per pattern. This additional footage will be shipped and invoiced.
Short lumber and molding is available. Please ask about special pricing on lengths of 5' and less.
We Charge 10% extra for items with specified lengths, and 15% extra for items with specified lengths of 12' and longer. We ask that you supply a complete cutting list when possible. These additional charges will be made when available lengths cannot be substituted.
